Annual Meeting

YOU ARE INVITED to the annual meeting of the Historical Society of Church of God Movements, Thursday, May 26, 2022, in the Ministry Training Center at the Church of God of Prophecy International Offices, 3720 Keith Street NW, Cleveland, TN, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. This is the 20th Anniversary of the Society.

Our special guest speaker this year is Dr. Michael Padgett from Middlesboro, Kentucky, with the Church of God Mountain Assembly. He will be presenting from his new book, A Bow Tied, an examination of the development of ecclesiastical polity in the Church of God Mountain Assembly during its first 100 years and how the first generation of CGMA leaders attempted to replicate and incorporate aspects of the Church of God’s government while it concurrently contended with inclinations toward its inherent congregationalism.

The annual meeting of the Historical Society of Church of God of Movements is on the Thursday before Memorial Day, in May of each year.  The 2022 Annual Meeting is scheduled for May 26 in Cleveland, Tennessee.  This meeting is open to the public.

After prayerful consideration of CDC guidelines, the essential necessity of our annual meeting, and the average age of society members, the Executive Committee made a decision to cancel the 2020 annual meeting of the Historical Society of Church of God Movements.  Please help us pass the word.  Thank you.

Annual Meeting

The Executive Committee and Advisors are prayerfully considering how to proceed with the planning of this year's Annual Meeting.

The Society meets annually on the Thursday before Memorial Day.  This year, that is May 21, 2020.
